Submitting Papers for Review in Smarthinking

As an HPU student, you have access to a FREE online tutoring service called Smarthinking!

Smarthinking is available 24 hours a day, on-or off-campus. You may choose to connect to a tutor immediately, schedule a future session, or submit a question and access study guides.

Smarthinking also offers a paper review service. Submit your paper and receive tutor feedback within 24-48 hours.

Start Smarthinking by login into your Pipeline!

Accessing Smarthinking

Go to your Resources tab.
Locate the Online Tutoring Services channel (second column, third "box")
Select the “Click here to start” link to begin.

Allow pop-ups for Smarthinking

Make sure pop-ups from Smarthinking are allowed in your browser.  Follow the Smarthinking instructions to re-test your system. 

Smarthinking Homepage

The Smarthinking homepage  is divided into the different services available: Connect with an online tutor, schedule an appointment, submit a question, check out academic resources, and submit a paper online.

To submit a paper, you must first select a subject.

If you want your paper to be review for grammar and writing mechanics select Essay Center as the subject.

As a nursing student there is also the subject Nursing Essays, which provides feedback on nursing content.

Submit your paper

 Fill out the form specially the items in red. Upload your paper, preferably as MS Word file (Smarthinking only accepts MS Word documents .doc or .docx, plain text files .txt., or in rich text format .rtf). Click submit, you should received feedback from 24 to 48 hours!

Certificate

Please enter your name and email address to retrieve a copy of your completed quiz.

You can enter multiple email addresses separated by commas. If you are doing this for a class, you may need to enter your instructor's email address also.
